When inspiration abandons me – which happens every so often that has become mildly annoying, I’m going after it. I try everything because I’m all out of ego on the matter. Most of the times, I try to lure it back with chocolate cookies.

Exploring poetry
Lately I’ve been delving into poetry. Mostly reading, but sometimes writing, too. I torture my friends with my 3am inspirations and first drafts of poems that I wrote on jotterpad when sleep wouldn’t come, but I don’t regret it because it’s fun, and because it makes sense.
The poetry out there is beautiful and fascinating and inspirational and many more adjectives that have a warm and motivational feeling.
Friday reads
With a ten year delay, I decided to read The Hunger Games. I have no idea how it took me so long, but my money is on the great fuss that happened around the movies. But I’m there and I’m having fun.
Almost Poetry: Writing
The soft scratch of the pen on the paper
Soothing, like
Two hands on your shoulders
Kneading away the tension
Only
It’s your mind.
The acrid smell of ink
mesmerizing, like
Old whiskey you sniffed in secret behind your parents’ back
Only
You still get drunk.
The formed words
like souls,
Pulling you in,
Spitting them out
Only
They got a part of yours, too.
Goals for 2017
It’s time for new year’s resolutions and goals that I’m totally gonna fail at but I can’t resist on setting. There is a sick satisfaction on paving the way in detail for a whole year, then two months in, forget about the damn map you so enthusiastically drew, set another path as reality strikes you with obstacles and new ideas, and in the end of year, realize you’ve ended up to a whole new planet where nothing is horrible but, well, you have to admit that you’re not where you wanted to be.
Favorite books for 2016
This has been a great year for my reading as I read 86 books (yes, many of them manga, thank you very much). It’s the second year that I actually keep track of the books that I read through Goodreads and I’m fascinated by the opportunity to go back and, well, remember:P
So, I’m writing this very original blog post, mainly because I want to torture myself as I’m coming up with two-lined reviews for each of the books that I liked.
